Interior Furniture Solutions plays its role in tackling Climate Change

Interior Furniture Solutions is an environmentally aware and an environmentally sustainable company.

We, at Interior Furniture Solutions are delighted to announce the launch of our Plant–a–Tree (PAT) initiative. Quite simply, for every desk we sell, we will plant a tree.

We have a developed an exciting partnership with Trees On The Land, where we will plant native Irish trees for every desk sold. Interior Furniture Solutions will fund the planting of a tree for every desk you buy.

Last year we sold approximately, 10,000 desks and are on target to sell even more this year! This will mean that more than 10,000 native Irish trees will be planted.

These Interior Furniture Solutions trees will be planted at selected sites in and around Co. Cork and in February 2020, Edit Office staff members will be rolling up their sleeves to help plant the trees.

Trees on the Land is a cross-border initiative working to establish young native trees across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Trees on the Land are a registered charity who work with farmers, smallholders, community groups, councils, schools, colleges and many other landowners to coordinate sites to accommodate trees. Trees are planted as small woodlands, coppices, orchards, hedgerows, shelterbelts, agroforestry projects, reforestation projects, and larger woodlands.

The Trees on the Land vision is to establish tree cover and woodland in rural and urban areas that will grow for many years and provide valuable resources, beneficial ecosystem services and a lasting legacy for future generations.

Forests play an important role in helping fight climate change – Ireland’s forests and wood products removed 4.3 million tonnes of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere in 2015. Tackling climate change is in everybody’s interest.
